Shaw Marketing Services at the Calahonda Business Fair

This month sees the second Calahonda Business Fair taking place Las Postas Commercial Centre (opposite El Zoco) on the weekend of 27-28 March. This event will bring together around 40 local businesses offering special offers, things to buy and information on great products and services. This will be an excellent networking opportunity for companies and a good fun day out. Even if you haven’t got a stand, come with lots of business cards and flyers and talk to the exhibitors about your company and what you feel you could do for them, this is a great way to win clients face to face and develop partnerships with other businesses.  

We’ll be on stand 39 under the underpass from 11.00-18.00 on Saturday, 27th and from 11.00-15.00 on Sunday, 28th March, so please pop by and say hello.

Revolutionary iPhone Application launched

Shaw Marketing Services are working with KamAlert to launch their new iPhone application to give users peace of mind, security and personal safety at all times, everywhere they go. This clever piece of software turns a mobile phone into a totally autonomous camera surveillance and Personal Alarm System and will send SMS texts, emails and photos if the user is in trouble.

There are two key features of this software:
1. Surveillance mode to detect movement and take photos of intruders - KamAlert is the only iPhone application with a surveillance mode which converts your phone into an iPhone surveillance system. When the surveillance mode has been set, the phone will detect any continuous motion or change in light and immediately takes photos of the intruder(s). Once the photos have been taken, it sequentially sends SMS text messages, and photos via emails to the programmed contacts.

This is an inexpensive product which can be used to temporarily monitor an unoccupied property, an office with sensitive information stored in it, a hotel room, or even a room in a house which should not be entered, in place of a costly security system.

2. Two Help Buttons which can be pressed in case of either a medical emergency or if the user is in personal danger to alert the authorities. This application will give peace of mind for lone people in threatening situations, people with known health conditions who are concerned about leaving the house alone and parents who want to know that their children can easily get help should there be a problem.

Rose & Clavel Seminars

Shaw Marketing Services are working with Nueva Andalucia Chartered Accountants Rose & Clavel to run a series of seminars on starting and nurturing your business.

The second seminar in the series is on the subject of Cultivating your Business on Tuesday 2nd March. This seminar will help businesses understand the financial controls which lead to increased profitability, as well highlight the problems businesses face, including employment law and failing to meet deadlines for tax payments. It will be an informative and interesting seminar which can help all businesses looking to improve their profitability and productiveness.

Calahonda Business Fair

Marleen Gosselin is repeating the very successful Calahonda Business Fair at the Las Postas Commercial Centre on the weekend of 27-28 March 2010. This is a low-cost way to increase your profile, speak to potential clients over the two day event and also network with the other businesses exhibiting.

Shaw Marketing Services will be on stand 39, by the New Black Cat Pub. If you’d like to be there too stands are now being allocated for this year's event. Marleen has kept the very competitive prices from last year so that even the smallest business can afford to attend.

• Marquee-style stand - A 3mx3m stand space for the two days of the fair will be between 120 Euros and 150 Euros depending on location and requirements. This will include a small marquee-style stand, carpet and your company name.

• Table top display - A 140x70 table display for the two days of the fair will be 60 Euros. This includes table, two chairs, company name board, table cover.
