Marbella residents invited to meet the people who can help when things go wrong at free event

What would you do if you had to leave your home because of a fire or flood? Who would you call if you were the victim of a crime, needed care for a loved one, or could no longer make ends meet? Many expats don’t know the answers to these questions! That’s why Georgina is once again working alongside Nicole King to bring together all the right people in one place for a highly informative free event in Marbella. The United Nationalities of Marbella Summit is inviting residents to find out before a crisis happens. On Tuesday 3 November 2026, local authorities, emergency services, charities and support organisations will come together at Hard Rock Hotel Marbella to explain what help is available and how to reach it.

The open day runs from 10:00 to 13:00 and talks from officials will be between 11.00am and 12 noon. Entry is free, everyone is welcome and no registration is needed. Visitors can speak directly to representatives at information tables, take home useful contacts and put their questions to people working on the front line of support in Marbella.

The planned talks will address evacuation in the event of fire, flood or other emergencies; reporting crime and protecting the home; accessing social care; finding help during financial hardship; the assistance the British Consulate can offer; and support for people experiencing domestic abuse. Talks will be given by representatives of the Local and National Police, as well as the Guardia Civil, the Head of Fire Prevention, Firefighting and Rescue from Marbella’s Fire Brigade, Head of the Civil Protection Group for Marbella and the British Vice Consul.

The United Nationalities of Marbella Summit founder Nicole King wants residents to leave knowing whom to contact and what support they can access for themselves, a neighbour or someone they love. Her aim is to bring the people who provide that help together in one place so residents can ask questions before they face an emergency.

“When times get tough ignorance won’t help us, yet we know that the majority of expats are not aware of what help is available, or even who to ask. The good news is that there is help out there, and so we’re bringing together the Town Hall, Police, Charities and Associations as well as businesses who are providing really important services to support our community. Join us at United Nationalities Marbella to learn where to turn if you, or someone you love needs help.”

This free event in Marbella will also recognise Soroptimist, celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Soroptimist International Costa del Sol and raise funds in support of its work.

A networking lunch and open question session will follow from 13:30 to 15:00. The buffet lunch is €45 per person and must be booked in advance, by emailing nicole@nicoleking.es and quoting the reference Lunch UMNMS2026. €10 from each luncheon goes to Soroptimist’s Safe Home 1 project, supporting overnight accommodation for women and families in fear of domestic violence. The free morning open day requires no booking.
