The incredible charity Concordia, which supports HIV sufferers and their families, as well as educates about the disease, has sent out an open invitation to a screening of the documentary Fire in the Blood. The screening is being shown at the Cines Teatro Goya in Puerto Banus at 9pm and entry is free, but the organizers are asking people to confirm their assistance by emailing info@concordiamarbella.com
This multi-award winning documentary is in English with Spanish subtitles and tells the story of how Western pharmaceutical companies and governments aggressively blocked access to low-cost AIDS drugs for the countries of Africa and the global south in the years after 1996 – causing ten million or more unnecessary deaths – and the improbable group of people who decided to fight back.
