Meet the Team – Gail Wooderson, Account Manager & Copywriter
Here’s an interview with the newest member of our team, Gail Wooderson, who we’ve brought over from the UK to work on the Account Management side. She brings with her a huge amount of experience from many years working for top clients and we’re delighted to have her.

Where are you from? South West London, Clapham to be precise
What brings you to Spain? After many years of working at large London advertising agencies I decided to scale down and go freelance so that I was less tied and could come and go between London and Spain which is a country I love. Working with Shaw Marketing Services gives me the chance to be involved in interesting projects in Marbella, my chosen location.
How does living and working in Spain differ from the UK? I personally think that it is more laid back in style, but with any business, anywhere in the world, any project worth doing well is challenging and ‘laid back’ must never be a euphemism for lazy!
What did you do before working with Shaw Marketing Services? My last job before going freelance was as an International Planning Director for McCann Erickson, a leading global advertising agency. My major Client was Boots Healthcare International and I was responsible for the Global strategy of Nurofen, Strepsils, and world-wide New Product Development projects.
Freelance clients have included Kettle Chips, Villeroy & Boche, Eli Lilly, Johnson & Johnson, Adnams Breweries.
Wow, that’s amazing experience, we’re very lucky to have you as part of the team! What does your job entail with Shaw Marketing Services? I will be involved in Client contact, New Business Development and the production of high quality written communication materials. I’m really looking forward to the change from working in the UK. Helping smaller businesses with marketing will be really rewarding and I can’t wait to enjoy a warmer winter in Spain!
