Spectacle Wearer of the Year Competition Launched in Spain
Specsavers Opticas have launched the first Spectacle Wearer of the Year Awards in Spain to recognise specs as a fashion statement as well as a visual aid and celebrate the millions of ordinary people in Spain who look amazing in their glasses.
They are searching for specs wearing champions who make their specs a part of their identity, no matter what their age or style.
The competition is open from 1st-31st May and entries can be made via Facebook specsaversopticas. Entrants simply need to submit a recent colour photo of themselves wearing glasses. The person crowned the overall Spectacle Wearer of the Year will win a makeover, photo-shoot and a pair of designer frames. There will also be 8 semi-finalists who will win a pair of designer frames each.
The competition will be officially launched in Fuengirola today 6th May with a frame styling day. All Specsavers staff are fully trained to offer style advice on the latest trends and styles to suit all face shapes and help make glasses wearers look and feel great.
Amrik Sappal from Specsavers Opticas in Fuengirola commented “Grab some style advice from our team, pick up some cool frames and then enter the competition for the chance of being the Spectacle wearer of the year and winning a great prize. We want to celebrate all those people who look great in their glasses, so come and join in!” Specsavers will also be collecting unwanted glasses for Lions Club International to donate to those in need.
