Tuk Tuk opened with a bang in Aloha
On 11th June we headed down to a new Asian Fusion restaurant in Aloha Gardens called Tuk Tuk for their opening night. It was a fantastic event with drinks flowing and delicious canapés of chilli squid, satay chicken, scrumptious sushi and a great atmosphere.
It’s in a lovely location in Aloha Gardens a little further up from El Jardin, with a waterfall in the background, a spacious terrace and “garden” where you can enjoy the warm summer evenings. Inside it’s very cool and modern with a nice vibe and a big bar area so you can sample a few cocktails, perhaps with a bit of sushi, even if you don’t want a full meal.
Looking at the menu, I am really looking forward to going back. The soups and salads look fresh and vibrant and the fusion is evident with delicious dishes from Thailand and Japan mixed with western favourites – like their tuna tartar with wasabi and chilli dressing or their crispy duck salad. For mains choose from Thai curries, Chinese stir fries or Japanese sushi – it all looks delicious.
