Calvia Lions Club Diabetic Testing Event Santa Ponça – 02/06/18
To raise awareness about diabetes and to help the local community, Specsavers Opticas Santa Ponça is once again joining forces with the Calvia Lions Club to hold a diabetes testing event on Saturday 2nd of June from 10.00am to 12:00pm. This is open to all, free of charge and no appointment is necessary. During the event, qualified nurse Rina Quinn will be conducting a simple finger prick test to detect the signs of diabetes. Results will be given immediately and if positive, patients will be referred for medical advice. This type of screening can detect pre-diabetes and diabetes, a condition with over 422 million sufferers worldwide.
