My Lawyer in Spain provide independent legal services in English to anyone with interests in Spain and will be exhibiting and speaking at A Place in the Sun Live in London this May. They are taking part in the event to offer legal advice and answer questions that people have about buying a property in Spain, relocating and renting out their property.
The event is taking place at London ExCel from Friday 8th to Sunday 10th of May, between 10am and 4pm each day. My Lawyer in Spain is exhibiting at booth F30. Founding Partner Alex Radford will also be speaking at the seminar; โYour foolproof formula for buying property in Spainโ, which will be taking place every day of the show at The Hub, at the following times – Friday 8th May at 1:45 pm, Saturday 9th May at 2:30 pm and Sunday 10th May at 1:45 pm.
โWeโre delighted to be back at A Place in the Sun Live to answer peopleโs legal questions and put their minds at ease about the legal aspects of purchasing property and moving to Spainโ, states Alex Radford from My Lawyer in Spain.
โThereโs a lot of concern and worry about the situation post Brexit in terms of visa and residency rules, healthcare and driving licences and the tax implications of becoming a Spanish resident. The end of the Golden Visa, anti-tourism protests and the proposal for 100% property tax have all made people fear that they canโt move to Spain anymore, which really isnโt the case.
Yes, there are more hoops to jump through since Brexit, and some new legislations in place around holiday rentals, but with the right information and support, Brits can still move here and own property here. Our time at the show will be spent offering actionable advice, telling visitors the facts behind the headlines and explaining the steps they need to take to make their dream of a place in the sun a reality. We invite anyone to come down and ask us their questions, or to arrange a one-to-one meeting with us on Friday 8th of May after the show.โ
If youโre writing a story related to legal aspects related to purchasing property, moving to Spain, as well as setting up a business and family law in Spain, the My Lawyer in Spain team is available to be interviewed at the event. If youโd be interested in setting up an interview in advance, please let us know and we can schedule a time to meet on the stand, or after the event.
Alex is also available as a source of information on Spanish law, particularly in relation to British expats and property owners and would happy to answer questions or be interviewed in the future for any articles you may be writing.
If you have any questions or would like to speak to Alex or the team, before, during or after the event weโd be delighted to make that happen.ย
