Georgina recommends … Gorki Marbella

Gorki Marbella is just down the road from where we live and we think it’s a lovely place to have a good glass of wine in a refined wine bar atmosphere. They have an excellent selection of wines at reasonable prices and delicious food as well. This is a chain with other wine bars in Malaga, Seville, Cordoba and Madrid. Interestingly it started life as a deli offering people the option to sample the produce and they still have a deli part of the bar where you can buy some of the things on offer.

Read on for our review of Gorki Marbella.

Georgina recommends โ€ฆ. La Taberna del Pintxo

If you’re bored of always ordering the same things and would like to widen your tapas horizons, I can recommend the busy and fun Taberna del Pintxo. As well as serving traditional cold tapas at the bar, in the evening from around 9pm they start to bring round trays of delicious nibbles for you to try. Tapas is charged by counting the cocktail sticks at the end of the evening, each type of cocktail stick being worth a different amount. It’s a lovely way to eat and the place has a great atmosphere too.

Marketing resources for small businesses

Marketing know-how in just a few clicks

As a small business it’s hard to find the budget to employ a Marbella marketing company such as ours to undertake your marketing activities. Of course, we believe its money well spent, however if you have the time and the skills to try to do it yourself, there are some excellent resources out there to help.

I always encourage my clients to take an active role in the marketing of their company and here are a few of my favourite websites where you can start learning about marketing techniques and find advice from experts on how to improve the marketing you are already undertaking.

Shaw Marketing Services supports MLGA

As part of our commitment to supporting local charities, we’re helping Marbella Ladies Golfing Association launch their fundraising drive for 2011 by promoting their plans to the local press and the golfing press in the UK.

We’re getting excellent support from the local media and we’ll be discussing it on Talk Radio Europe tomorrow at 1pm. So far, The News Newspaper and Essential Magazine have agreed to run the press release and websites In Malaga Today and Marbella Family Fun have also picked up the story so it’s a great start.

We hope this press coverage will attract more members to the organisation, interest businesses in sponsoring their events and generallyย kick-start their fundraising efforts. Together, we’ll be working towardsย theirย ambitious target of raising 8,000โ‚ฌ for Cudeca and Ciudad de los Niรฑos over the coming year.

Theatre on the Costa del Sol

If you’re looking for something to keep the kids entertained or simply want to enjoy some culture, there’s a surprising amount of theatre being performed around the Costa del Sol!

In Marbella, the Black Box Theatreย is a great little venue which showcases interesting performances in drama, dance and music both in its cafe and the theatre itself. They run courses for children and adults as well and there’s always something going on.

This Saturday they are putting on their first production in English and as part of the ticket price they put on activities for kids before the showย which sounds great fun.ย The production is called A Thousand Cranes and tells the true story of a 12 year old victim of the Hiroshima bomb who starts to suffer from radiation sickness and in order to make herself better tries to fold a thousand paper cranes. It sounds like a moving but inspiring tale and is recommended for children over 7 years old. Thisย show will be performed on 15th, 22nd and 29th January at 5.30pm and tickets are 8โ‚ฌ. To reserve your seat call 952 779 172.ย
